I assume you would not argue that a serious movement to get the troops out of Iraq would be "seditious."

You assume correctly.

As I said dissent is fine, even when FDR might have quashed it during WW2.

However, actively cheering the other side or taking pleasure in US losses is seditious. Working with foreign forces, particularly to fund anti-war activities would also be crossing lines.
