History has always tempered the "irrational exuberance" of any present moment. The recent firing of the missiles on the Navy ships proves beyond doubt that Bush adopted a failed policy in his fight against terrorism. A missile attack is a more sophisticated attack than the ramming of the Cole. Wouldn't be surprised if some nations who profess to be a friend of the US had a hand in such a effort. Your comments make Clinton and all other Presidents before him look very good.

Iraq is moving towards civil war and disintegration no matter how much you indulge in name calling. The first sign of a civil war and chaos is indicated by Iraq's failure to meet the timeline for a constitution because of fundamental differences amongst the groups drawing up the constitution. The signs of impending failures is also demonstrated by US agreeing to Islam being the fundamental tenet of the Iraqi Constitution after that idea initially. I can keep going, but again, it is wise to wait to see the unfolding of another Vietnam.
