Now it appears that barred towels are pushing out spotted towels, so some people are thinking about shooting the barred variety. No foolin'.

I've seen both kinds. They are virtually indistinguishable to all but knowledgeable people. I'm not sure how, or if, they differ in any material way. Barred towels are apparently more successful at existing in today's environment. Why that should mean they deserve to get shot escapes me.

I wish somebody would educate us all in why spotted towels are preferable to barred towels.
