Z, One change in the tax code can pull tens of thousands out of poverty. Much more quickly than me giving away money to one person and then promoting myself. In fact, both Jesus (well, really Matthew, I think) and Maimonides said that people shouldn't trumpet their charity work. This would go beyond charity. This would be like a movement. Something like taxon.org Actually, the domain is for sale, making it even easier. If you think you are alone among people who (say) are against Bush tax cuts, you are wrong. There may be millions of you. They just have not had any leadership. You could be the the Terri Sheehan of the TaxOn.org movement. As far as Jesus, he didn't start out preaching in Central Park in front of 100s of thousands of people, with large screens, sound system, and image broadcast live.
