You are missing the IE/AOL types who don't know what an "RSS feed" is. I don't think that's the point. RSS is a red herring. Google is offering Google news via a browser now. No RSS feed involved. And they are initiating the offering of Google news sans browser. No RSS feed involved. So the question is what is the marginal value of Google news via Sidebar rather than via browser. Still don't get it.
