No I haven't see that movie or read "I Robot". Often I am surprised (but shouldn't be) in my academic work what people don't know or haven't tried to do. And I depend on finding research ideas that no-one else has tried. This is actually very easy. Lay people say: "well people must have tried that or know that" and I say no they haven't. Most everyone goes looking under the lampost for their keys...
