i only discovered your board a short while ago, and i Love the manner and nature of the discourse herein. Thanks much Slider and members. i found the thread about platinum and paladium compelling; so i did some looking at the traditional recs {PAL, SWC, et. al.}, and then somewhere, maybe here, i noticed the Dines later 6/27/05; he devoted some specific comments about AFRPF African Platinum PLC. The current price is near his buy price ~US 40.40. He has it listed in his list three, precious metals "Blue chip core positions in all portfolios" section. There seems to be no message boards discussing this one and the major disappointment i found at the website: afplats.com was 500,000,000 outstanding shares - i try to invest in companies with no more than 100,000,000 {usually MUCH less}. Anybody got a bead on this one - i like Dines, although he sometimes picks a 'clunker.' MUCH TIA
