I am rooting for Ospreys. They seem to be making a comeback, which flies in the face of Chicken Littles. I bet there are ten nests between my house and town, and dozens of them over at our place on Flathead.

Friday I watched a family of four Ospreys. They are beautiful birds, can fly, spot fish from hundreds of feet in the air, dive bomb them, swim under water, and eat them live. Their only problem is they tend to nest in full view of human travel routes, which makes them somewhat vulnerable to goblins of various kinds.
