E-911 Coming Into Place via Intrado and Others MSNBC has a story out of Denver about E911 being ready, highlighting local companies in the Denver area including Qwest, NGT and Intrado. Intrado is making a lot of noise around AT&T being a customer. What they are doing is only supplying the Nomadic users with those services as a substitute for AT&T's own in-house and already in place solution able. This is a key point that seems to get overlooked when others are commenting about Intrado. According to the release back in July the deployment of Intrado(R) V9-1-1 Mobility Service is in place to support AT&T's nomadic users, and users with telephone numbers foreign to the local rate center (i.e. out-of-area), as well as some fixed-location users not covered by AT&T's own service footprint.
