Ted, Of course, but then I was opposed to the war from the get go. No war.........no need for a draft according to my proposal.

That's the fundamental problem with supporting the draft. You gotta be willing to go even if you think the war you are being forced to fight in is the stupidest idea in the world.

Yes, but if you have to fight and a relative of a congressman is in the next humvee and the commander of the unit is the son of a VP.......you're going to feel just a tad better and not feel the upper class is sticking it to you one more time.

Hence the lunacy of those who are against the war but for the draft. Besides, even if Bush's own daughters went to Iraq, it would not change your views on the war one bit. Of course, you're gambling on the hope that if Bush's daughters did indeed go to war, Bush would somehow be less compelled to invade Iraq in the first place. Not a chance ... especially when Karl Rove will find a way to keep the Bush twins away from action ...

Rove would be hard pressed to keep the progeny of all the GOP politicians out of harm's way. Even if he could, the media would be all over like a bee on honey. My proposal will do exactly what I want it to do.....make politicians think twice before starting a war that might endanger their kin as well as their fellow citizens.
