I wondered what would have happened if the fight went...15 rounds like in the old days. Vargas would have been dead meat.

I agree. Vargas fought in the way I thought he would, but Castillejo fought even more slowly and...er...European?...than he did versus Delahoya. Still, I think he surprised and hurt Vargas at least once, and Ferocious Fernando couldn't put him away.
