They are being murdered for expressing opinions, for joining the security forces and for just walking down the street. It takes a hell of a lot more courage to be a patriot in Iraq than what you are used to. They need to feel confident that we will stay the course and see the job done. Watching our quivering senators worry about a time table for withdrawal can't be a confidence builder. 2008 may be a year of much dread for the average Iraqi.
