You miss the point. Rumsfeld cut the number of troops experienced war veterans in the administration were calling for. All Rumsfeld saw was that Saddam's military could be crushed with smaller numbers, but he didn't take into account the immediate aftermath, which we all know led to the loss of infrastructure, general mayhem and the chaos we see now. Bush Jr. decided to take the advise of guys that had no war experience, and now we have what experienced war veterans predicted would happen.
