Performance per Watt of Conroe/Smithfield is 5/1.4. But Conroe will be released at much lower TDP than Smithfield. So performance of Conroe relative to Smithfield will be (5/1.4)*(65/130) = 1.78. So Conroe would be 78% faster than the current Smithfield. Since the current X2's are much faster than Smithfield, Conroe may not differ that much with X2 by the time it ships. Which is a much more moderate message than the '5 times better' headlines currently seen in the press. Also, these slides are made to show the new processors from their best side, like in a beauty contest. Reality will be worse.
