Melissa,
A possible play on ORCL might be the Sept. 40 calls (going for 11/16th). The only reason to get into this early tomorrow might be to hold it until the 16th (Tuesday), but not hold it through announcement. I did something similar with CSCO options in early Aug. The volatility got crazy on the day of the announcement and the options went up quite a bit. I made 30% in two days (on a small amount). If I held through the announcement, I would have lost money.

So, I agree with Bob's analysis on holding through the announce - don't. But it could still be profitable. However, I would wait until tomorrow morning to see where the market is going before I'd do this.

- Brian.
