Does the Board of Medicine regulate the politeness of doctor's comments? If so, too bad for you guys. Lawyers ethical code is pretty clear cut. And if we don't violate the canons and rules for ethical conduct, then the only other issues are whether we violated other laws. Obnoxiousness is bad business but otherwise nobody's business but that of the rude person and the recipient.
