What is wrong with giving power to the people - you want to ignore someone - you click ignore - you want to read someone - you take them off ignore - decentralizes the work and makes things flow better no? When did the admin say he was going to do this? The thread can live and people can ban who they choose - I am sure to be at the top of many's list - hehe. See the next level of progression can be something like slashdot - you give siouxpal and some others MOD POINTS - they in turn give points to others that share thier views - so then for people that want to read ALL the stuff - you can do so - want something the community feels is worth reading - up your base mod level - self moderating - shifts complete power away from sioux - but doesn't put all the work on the user either - balance - zen.
