Mike,

Perhaps it's nothing, but I noticed a couple of interesting Asian pushouts this week. First it was Cymer lasers used for DUV lithography. Many think the customer may have been Canon. Then Emcore announced Asian pushouts for 4 MOCVD systems used for making compound semiconductors.

In between, a 21 year old reporter at the local tabloid in Corning, NY came out with the startling revelation that North American fiber demand may not be what it is chalked up to be. Perhaps some double ordering of fiber may be coming off the books as the industry gets back into balance after being in shortage mode for quite a while, speculated one analyst.

I guess stranger things have happened. Do you see a trend here? How much of this, if any, might be related to Asian currency weakness and need to conserve foreign exchange?
