Brazil's rep for cosmetic surgery is so well known that people come from foreign countries to have the work performed.
This boosts the rate of course. Also, medical/surgical/dental fees are much lower than the US, although not necessarily the rest of Latin america. Of course, people can combine an elective surgical procedure with a vacation in Rio.
Nonetheless, Cramers lending for cosmetic surgery idea is over the top. And he is off the mark regarding consumer lending; it is every where. Indeed, it is necessary to boost sales as incomes are low compared to prices, which are international for imported items.
