re: When will American car quality go up? After they get the Unions, Medical and Pension fund expenses down to a level where they have some money left over for quality control. The GM unions are encouraging union concessions after an almost completed (year long) audit of the GM books. $3.00+ gasoline on the horizon and a company that gets the vast majority of it's profits from pig SUVs. Detroit is dead, their bonds are junk. They are years behind the curve... maybe they can catch up but I don't see how. It's a shame... John
