Pro, Cindy Sheehan is a flawed individual. Her personal views on Israel, organic food, etc. don't matter. It is the image, however flawed and unfocused itself, that makes Bush look so bad. She was willing to go sit in the ditch for the answer to a question (What was the noble cause my son died for), while GWB biked, jogged, went to fundraisers, napped, etc. As a nation we have short attention spans and we love one sentence questions like that. "Noble Cause" is the watchword right now.
This gets way beyond the intellectual arguments about who is "righter" and whether GWB has already met his obligation to the Sheehan family.....It is the contrasting image. And that woman, Ms. Sheehan, is winning hands down.
Karl Rove used to be smarter than this....two weeks ago a lousy half hour with the woman, and GWB would have the high road. Not anymore.
Even fox news, which used to almost taunt Sheehan's mission, now seems to be trying to suggest a detente of some kind..just to get it over with.
