At any rate, shall we ban the truth? Shall we ban the fact that men don't dig fat chicks, or old women?

I am trying to imagine my doctor saying to me, "Rambi, your weight is fine but men don;t like old women. If you don't start losing some years, you are going to be alone."
Well, damn, and I was feeling pretty good about myself and my attractiveness. So shoot me.

Some things don't need saying, true or not.

I will just say what I said to TWatson-- my point was that, if true, the doc's comments fell outside of medical information or helpful advice. And that women are quite aware of weight issues anyway with regard to appearance. I was under the impression from one of the posts, that he had admitted he said the things she alleged and that being obese and alone was one of those things, but I really have no idea. (And not a great deal of deep interest.)

It isn't something I would do, running to either the medical board or the media, but then I would never be a Cindy Sheehan either. People act out of belief sets that are often completely alien to me. But it bugged me that people automatically assumed the doctor was only advising her on health, and didn't go too far. At 22, I had a doctor give me a morality lecture, and it still irritates me to this day that I just sat there nodding.

If this silly story goes on and gets more attention, with no more facts or interesting angles, then I would probably do what I have done to the Sheehan story and the Aruba story. Ignore it.

By the way, I have an old, dear friend, a marvelous contralto, who is very large. And quite attractive and not at all alone. I would think any doctor who tells her she would be if she doesn't slim down, that men won't like her, would be not just rude but wrong.

Well, it's almost the end of silly month.
