Cindy Sheehan seems to have totally changed her version of what happened when she met with Bush. She may have been in shock at the time, or whatever, and I certainly think Bush is capable of great deceit and evil, but from everything I have heard about his visits with the families of dead soldiers, he is very open about his feelings, very willing to touch and hug and comfort, very open about crying himself, very shaken afterwards. I don't think that this aspect of his personality is so twisted that Cindy Sheehan's second version of the event is the accurate one.

My position has consistently been that Cindy Sheehan is not the issue here. The war in Iraq is the issue. Cindy Sheehan is a peace protester, and certainly she deserves respect for putting herself out there, but really the anti-war movement is better represented by people who are a little more seasoned with the press and politics, who think before they speak and focus on the war itself without rambling like Sheehan does. At least that is my opinion.

I don't think that having a social, environmental and international conscience (whatever that means exactly) means I am joined at the hip with Cindy Sheehan. I think the sooner everyone on both sides moves on from making her the issue and starts talking about how we can best resolve the issues in Iraq, the better things will be.
