Which demonstrates that they were very lucky that day by not being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It doesn't begin to prove that God exists let alone whose side He's on. If one fortunate incident could prove that, then one unfortunate incident could prove the converse--you'd have to agree that the latest soldiers blown up by an IED because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time would prove that God was on the other side.
