In a widely publicized and vocal break with the magazine, former columnist Christopher Hitchens left The Nation when it published a large number of letters from readers, who, Hitchens claimed, blamed America for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Well Hitchens is entitled to his opinions just as were the readers. The Nation's Editorial Board includes Tom Hayden, Toni Morrison, and Roger Wilkins. So? They are respected citizens of the US. Now if Pat Robertson were on the board I would think twice about reading the magazine. Can you believe that Robertson? Do you think dementia has set in........or is he just plain stupid?
