Don't sigh, you'll prematurely age. Of course, I read your comment and I just suggested it was a quote from Street.com, certainly not a friend of the "get shorty" crowd. If it's not an accurate quote, please correct it. I only have what TS posted and the specific paragraph appears to be a quote from Street.com. Is that accurate?

The bigger picture, rather than the nitpick, is where you should focus.

This all is keeping the attention on the subject, which in my mind is great.

The issue, with which most everyone seems to agree, is that the system of clearing and the issues of fails needs to be changed. I'm not arguing in this or the post to which you responded that naked shorting is the reason, the excuse, or involved.

The answers are available. It just takes initiative by our regulators and Congressman to get them irrespective of whether they hurt vested interests.

The trend seems to be pushing them to act, and that's a good thing.
