What makes you think I don't think there is a fairly high chance of civil war? Certainly there are numerous factions that might well spin out of control without the oppression of a murderous dictator. We're giving them an opportunity to form a consensus government.

Perhaps, you forget all the cat and mouse games saddam played with the U.N. inspectors...did he act like a man with nothing to hide? The prevailing opinions of both parties was at the time that the man was a threat. Could be he was bluffing to frighten both his neighbors and us. The bluff was called....he was and is a fool.

Trying to establish peace and stability in any part of the middle east is very risky business...it took a man with vision and nerve to even make the attempt. Hopefully history will be kinder to Mr. Bush than you...he is certainly no Neville Chamberlain.
