Well, they didn't ask me when I was admitted if I wanted a bohemian or a religious extremist.

I was a young married woman, holding down a responsible job. THis was an ER doctor with whom I had no relationship at all, and who knew nothing about me, but leaped to an inaccurate conclusion and got on a hobbyhorse.

I totally disagree with you about morality lectures unless there is reason to know that the "morals" in question are behaviors leading to specific or possible health problems. (Like, hm, you have had 100 partners this week and used no protection. Let me explain what could happen" or "you are drinking a gallon of gin every morning to get going? OK, let's talk about your liver") That isn't morality. That's health. You don;t say You disgusting greedy glutton. You talk about the risks of being overweight. You lazy, no good sloth?Of course not- you talk about the health value of exercise
You don't say You lascivious lecher. You talk about STDs. Once it becomes couched in judgmental or religious overtones, it is not appropriate, imo.
