F&GM: I'm absolutely stunned at the muted response in these stocks. Sure, it may have been anticipated, but the financial arms of these companies are the only pieces reporting any profits at all. With the downgrades, their borrowing ability is severely crimped.

Any idea what gives? Is everyone convinced they'll just run to the ABS market and don't need the debt markets any more? Seems to me these downgrades could serious imperil what little profit-making potential remained in their finance arms.
