Moominoid Re: "South Africa" That is very interesting, I never knew that. Were the Bantu being pushed down from the North due to some population pressure or other forces? The main English colonies, USA, Canada, NZ, and OZ were mostly just an empty wilderness when they arrived. India, Egypt, Malaysia, and hundreds of other places were just too thickly populated when the English arrived to make suitable colonies for Englishmen to establish new permanent communities of English immigrants.
