I firmly believe that one of the secrets to winning at poker is being able to recognize a lucky streak and then betting aggressively to maximize it for profit....the same applies to bad luck...when it is on you like a dark cloud...get out or at least back way off on the betting. My luck can change back and forth several times during the night or across 8 hours of playing, critical to know when you're hot or cold..... I play mostly Texas HoldEm now.....or if I am at a casino I will play "Let it Ride" or 7 Stud..... I will be playing in a garage game tomorrow night...it will go like this... We will start about 6PM....Pizza or Subs about 9:30 or 10.... We all anni up $10 maybe $15...7 or 8 players of varying skill but mostly pretty savvy....winner takes all but $10..2nd place gets his anni back... the anni gets you $2500 worth of chips and the game is No limit....with blinds starting a $100/$200 ...blinds double every once around the table. We will get in at least 6 games maybe 8 or more.... Towards the end of the night or early morning the anni will go up to $20 or more.... when guys get bet out early they usually start a cash poker game until the next Hold/Em game.... Smoking allowed....Drinking allowed....Swearing is plentiful....ages run from about 27 to about 67 years old we dont allow any kids (under 12) in the garage, no exceptions.... We have found this to be friendly yet just enough money and betting to create a little smoldering attitude here and there... This is about every 4 or 5 weeks..... regards...Chuck
