it wouldn't take away cramer's reason to own MCD until the spinoff was completed, and if and only if MCD disposed of all shares after the spinoff
i don't know if cramer's call is a good one, as i don't know much about chipotle, but if his thesis is correct, that chipotle is an undervalued asset, much as tim horton's is under the WEN ownership, then his call is validated even more by this news, as that would allow chipotle to receive a higher valuation, thus rewarding a current MCD owner, who would get shares in chipotle
not sure when cramer reco'd MCD, might be a nice buy under 30 if it pulls back on summer boredom or gas price fears or housing bubble fears or greenspan fears or any of the other nonsense CNBC mostly spews these days <g> frankly, cramer is about the only hour when you can at least possibly get a decent investment idea from CNBC anymore...let's have another oil story or another bull/bear debate....NOT |
