If you actually understand the point I'm making then why do you keep coming back with "but it's a real danger" posts?

I don't know how much more clearly I can say it but I'll try:

*There are real dangers.

*Very few want to "ignore" those dangers and we should address them.

*What we're doing in Iraq has been counterproductive and continues to be counterproductive.

*Being scared does not excuse being stupid, especially when being stupid is making matters worse.

*"Working harder" and sacrificing more men and more fortune in a poorly conceived and counterproductive effort does not validate the deaths of our lost soldiers, it only creates more "noble" deaths in the ranks of those currently serving.

Now, if you want to tell me all the "gains" you think we've made and will make as a result of our bloody adventure in Iraq, then fine. If, however, you want to continue to believe that the people who think like you understand the danger and the rest of us are ignoring it, or care more about politics or whatever, then that's fine too, only don't expect me to waste my time.

By the way, you say; "I read some of the comments Cindy made about her hopes for upcoming elections>" like that's a bad thing. In case you haven't thought about it lately, in a democracy if you don't like the policies of your elected leaders you have to change those leaders. We do that through elections. I, too, hope we change some faces in the next elections and I don't mean just Republicans. There are plenty of war whooping, war wimp Democrats out there and I hope they lose in primaries or, not likely, to a pragmatic Republican who is willing to put country ahead of Partisanship. Maybe you've heard of Chuck Hagel? Ed
