I dispute your contention, however, that he is reporting. He wrote a piece, without any attribution to any sources for the statements he made. What are his sources? Are they credible? I saw nothing in that piece to suggest that they are anything of the sort.

I agree. But you miss my point.

My point is, as JC Dithers noted in the context of your discussion on the A bomb, you want certain things to be true, so you are predisposed to believe them. They fit with your perspective and point of view. It is the same with the Doug Thompson piece. You want it to be true, so you readily assume that the statements are true.

Show me some credible sources for that story - i.e., people who are confirmed to have been there, and I will likely change my POV. Until then, my view is Mr. Thompson is nothing more than a hack who is out to damage the President.
