A Georgia-Pacific plant on the east side of Columbus, Ohio, was today the scene of an explosion that killed a worker, injured a second, and shook homes miles away. The blast occurred in a kettle in which the firm was mixing sulfuric acid, phenol, and formaldehyde to create a resin. The cause of the accident is unknown or at least unstated.
