"This is not about Bush, or Hillary. Neither know anything about IT that I know of - why bring politics into it??
"

we shouldnt, after all this is a real estate thread. only mentioned it when someone's uses it as a basis of fact to form an opinion that they claim is fact. You and I can eliminate this element.

"Talk to some people in the IT field."

This maybe done better without bothering the thread, but what is your definition of IT. I WAS (awhile ago) in systems engineering BUT only for the purpose of SELLINg systems. So most of my friends were in SALES of either hardware OR application software. You know what? THEY ALL have jobs selling DIFFEREENT hardware and software making MORE money then ever before. Your definition of IT sounds much more limited to jobs that either the engineers stopped learning new stuff or became commodities. I dont doubt that the SV crowd, you and LIZ know many technitions who cant find similar jobs but suffice it to say thats your view. All my east coast friends developed niche clients and expertise and expanded their influence. Now admitily they have been with LOTS of different companies during this time, but you know what? NEVER did they think they couldnt get a job.

Now I do tell my kids, Sales are a better profession (any kind) then any technition, I guess I have a new example of you and liz for them.

Please let me reiterate that you and liz are not wrong. Just suffering from tunnel vision. Alot of people are doing just fine thank you . In fact so many that the unemployment is at a historically low lever and of the 11000 people looking for jobs at walmart most are looking to upgrade from their current jobs.
