Very flimsy case made to attack Saddam based on 9-11.
Saddam was a secular leader, almost the opposite of what Al Qaida stands for. Al Qaida hates leaders like Saddam. Their only common quality was that they both hate Israel because they are Arabs. Otherwise, Saddam has regularly persecuted Islamics and even fought a bloody war against Iranian Islamics.

Saddam had a few retired terrorists in his country, an emphasis on retired. He had no Al Qaida training camps or anything close. He did nasty things (in the 80's with rightwing conservatives' approval and help) but he only rewarded Palestinian terrorists starting 3-4 years ago as a PR tool to try and make himself a hero in the Arab world to defend himself against the US attacking him again.

The real funders of terrorism are primarily in Saudi Arabia, a country which Bush-Cheney often seem to be serving more than their own country. Bush's coddling of the Saudis,m including the Bin Lauden family, is a horrible conflict of interest. He means he cannot be trusted to fight any kind of war on terror. Bush and Cheney both are deeply compromised. In fact, they have made the Saudis mkuch richer and the US much poorer during their first five years in power.
