<<You know the rightwing has reached the bottom of its barrel when it brings up Bill Clinton who has been out of office for half a decade.>>
Thanks for saying that. I am so tired of neocons and their sympathizers bringing up Clinton when he's been out of office all these years. What he did, who he did it with, when he did it; Who the hell cares? He is so not in office, he is so not involved in our current dilemmas, he is so history...
The gamesmanship players have overplayed their hand, and the public is sick of it. Repeated harping on "talking points" is like any false advertising: It becomes boring; then irritating; then obnoxious; foolish then down-right evil.
I had a friend visit me from LA in the late '80's. She could not stand the auto adverts. She kept complaining that every other moment the auto-pushers were telling her that she needed the "newest" and that it sickened her... Drugs have taken that slot right now, and the blow-back is seen in the Merrill verdict.
But Bushco is now suffering from the same disease. Clinton, Clinton, Clinton. Who cares? Drugs, drugs, drugs. Enough already. Iraq is good, okay - stop the mayhem, already. Liberals, liberals, liberals - so what! Enough is enough.
Even if the American people are brainwashed and braindead - they will only tolerate so much interuption through irritation. This overkill has its own blow-back, and the ratings are showing it now.
Enough blame, false advertising and pumping us, damn it. Deal with the shi-ite on the table, damn it. Shi-ite does not belong on the table. Get rid of it already. Lets Move-On.... i. |
