Coug, I have no idea how you could have read my post that you are responding to and concluded that I support Bush or his followers in any way, or that I like his ramblings better than Cindy Sheehan's. Could you point out the statements I made that imply that?

All I said is that I thought there were better organized groups that should lead the peace movement, now that Cindy Sheehan galvanized support for it. Do you want the movement to be successful, or not? I do want it to be successful, and the reason I believe Cindy should fade a little into the background is because her somewhat unformed and not really articulate leftist ramblings make it easy for the Bushies to attack her, and thus deflect attention from the core issues about Iraq. I also think Cindy is dealing with her grief in a way that is destroying some parts of her life, and that a move back from center stage might be therapeutic for her as well.

There is nothing wrong with having individuals and groups involved in the peace movement who are trained to raise funds and build public support. A lot of the same skill set is needed here as in running political campaigns. I think we all know that there are good and bad campaign managers, and that their skill can really make a difference! There is nothing magical about seeing someone fray about the edges in a very public way, and I in fact find it a bit disturbing and hard to watch. What to do next in Iraq is the issue, not Cindy Sheehan's personal experiences, even though she did a very good and brave and positive thing by coming forward and being so tenacious.

No one stole anything from Howard Dean. He lost all on his own, and I bet he would tell you that.
