Buy the tankers?????

How to respond to Katrina.....

The refineries will be out for sure for un plus longtemps. Product demand will not go away. We have been increasingly importing product. Sounds like the tanker stocks should do well. Besides the government won't fool with them.

The refiners?? Too hard to say. Some will suffer storm damage, and if you aren't running, you aren't making money, no matter how high the price. Maybe strategically geographically located refineries would do well. I do see government price caps. i remember one entrepreneur was jailed after Ivan for driving $200 portable generators down from new Jersey and selling them for $400. They call that gouging. i call it providing good business service.

Anybody have an opinion on Tidewater here?? They can move their boats out of the way easily, and I think would get more business with all of the evacuations and maintenance. I think the market incorrectly perceives it as having downside hurricane exposure.
