That's what puzzles me about WLS. Why offer to take the firm private? You should be selling stock like there is no tomorrow (which there may not be) not buying it! So far William Lyon's offer to take the firm private pushed the stock price up from $75 to more than $130. But that can't be the plan, because he still ain't selling. So does he believe the housing bubble will last forever? he of all people should know better.
