are you saying that sellers of appreciating assets do not bring anything to the productive process ? Yeah, for the most part. Obviously you cannot have productive industries without service personnel, so some of this type of staff is necessary. But when you get to one real estate agent per 100 persons, plus half of your new job growth nationally is tied up in real estate, this is way counterproductive imho. The whole system does a lot of "make work" that forces the productive members of society to pay more to live.
