when you get to one real estate agent per 100 persons, plus half of your new job growth nationally is tied up in real estate, this is way counterproductive imho.

at least they are working in a relatively harmless way.

telemarketers ? [ugh, no]

tech. support 'helpers' [oh no, no, please no, i will die of a frustration based heart attack, after i destroy the telephone, smashing it against the wall]

The whole system does a lot of "make work" that forces the productive members of society to pay more to live.

i agree, but for that BLAME THE LAWYERS AND POLITICIANS, not the real estate industry.

do you think that getting a permit in city hall (even for the simplest of things) is a walk in the park ?

your discontent with the tech industry job-softness (or whatever reason might be), imo is not caused by the real estate bubble...
