Pessimism

Here’s a gem from the Associated Press and MSNBC:

<<<

Iraqi negotiators finished the country’s new constitution Sunday without the endorsement of Sunni Arabs who helped prepare it, dealing a blow to the Bush administration and setting the stage for a bitter campaign leading up to an October referendum. (Emphasis added.)
>>>

Gee, that wasn’t subtle.

Can you imagine if the partisan-liberal Democrat media had covered our own country’s Constitutional Convention?

Damn.

The first graf might have been something like this:

Delegates in Philadelphia finished the country’s new
Constitution yesterday without the endorsement of several
key figures, most notably George Mason, dealing a blow to
advocates of a federal Republic, and to the patriots who
supported the war against Britain, and setting the stage
for a bitter campaign concerning ratification by the
states.
Yep.

Oh, well, at least our founding fathers didn’t have to worry about global warming polemics . . . .
