I haven't ruled out ocean storage. It works just fine. But for now, I prefer feeding plants and avoiding a relapse into glaciation. Contrary to popular rumour, it's a free lunch, for the plants, and therefore for the people and other beasties which feed on those plants.

Big puddles on the ocean floor are no problem though the fish and stuff living in the area will have to move house.
