I dont want to argue these points too many for me to do in a short discussion. But, I just want to say the USA does NOT support an independent Kurdish nation, and will not unless our LONG TIME allies the Turks change their opinion. Personally, I am impressed with how well the Kurds have managed their little piece of real estate. They seem to have their act together and if I were an Iraqi of any persuasion, I would think it would be IN MY BEST INTERESTS to follow their example. Imagin an Iraq as well managed as the Kurds have done with what they have? It would become IMHO a garden of Eden in the Middle East. Something they havent had in a very long time. jdn
