Eeek's Guide To The Bible

TWELVE

NO PLACE TO HIDE

Amos makes it very clear that there is no place to hide from the wrath of the Lord. He will hunt them down in Heaven or in Hell, and He will "cut them in the head". Even if they dive to the bottom of the sea, God will send a sea serpent to bite them. There is really no place to hide from the judgement of God.

God is unable to see people hiding at the bottom of the sea, as He admits. But out of sight is NOT out of mind. God can command the sea serpents to do His bidding, and THEY can see perfectly well at the bottom of the sea. Indeed, it is their bailiwick.

This passage also makes it clear that Hell IS in the Earth. God will find you even if you "dig into hell". Atheists use this passage to scoff at Hell. They believe that there is not enough room in the middle of the Earth to house all the people who have lived for millions of years. What they don't realize is that these people are in a liquified state from the intense heat of Hell. This is the true reason why the center of the Earth spins faster than the Earth itself: it is surrounded by liquid people. It is their magnetic energy which imparts the spin to the solid core. One of the mining companies even dug through to Hell a few years back. They have audio of the people in Hell weeping and howling and gnashing their teeth.

I guess that is proof enough--even for the smirking atheist.

God also states that He will set his eyes upon them for EVIL. This settles the controversy over where EVIL originates. Of course it comes from God. Where else COULD it come from?

But God makes the rules. All we need do is obey His commandments, and He will give us peace and joy forever more.

_______________________________

9:1 I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

9:2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

9:3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

9:4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

Bless Jesus! The atheist is refuted once again!
