I served on a six person jury once for a drunk driving case. It is VERY difficult to get people to see things the same way. If there's an Off-topic agenda like OJ, it might be impossible. I would not want to serve on a controversial case that takes weeks. I might find myself strangling some of the other jurors.

There should be juror training, but the only thing you get is lunch and donuts.
