HERZLIYA, Israel -- As they say in the preaching business, Pat Robertson had them in the palm of his hand.
pat robertson is an enemy of Christ. he is a liar and a deceiver, and an apostle for antichrist. he sullies the name of Christianity and the only people who hearken to his lies are those who are too lazy to investigate true Christianity.
none of the holy fathers of the Church taught the evil lies that pat robertson promulgates. they taught the exact opposite, throughout the east or west.
st. john chrysostom (chrysostom in greek means 'golden-mouth') is arguably the greatest eastern father of the Church. he is the most prolific with hundreds of writings and sermons amounting to millions of words. to demonstrate how important a saint he is in the Orthodox Church, except for a handful of times during the year, his liturgy is served and he is honored at the end of every liturgy throughout the entire world. (all orthodox churches use the same liturgy throughout the entire world, no matter what language the liturgy is conducted. it makes no matter whether the liturgy is in greek, slavonic (russian), english, french, or even a combination of languages, they are all using st. john chrysostom's divine liturgy.) some of his works have only in recent years been translated into english for the first time.
i have not read all of his works, but i have read thousands of pages of his works, and by far my favorite so far are his eight homilies titled 'against the jews' which he delivered in the latter 4th century in the city of antioch. they are a veritable masterpiece.
if the blessed augustine is not the greatest orthodox saint from the west, he no doubt surpassed all as the most prolific writer in all of christendom, his writings amount to several million words, surpassing even that of chrysostom. he has a tract also called 'adversus judaeos' or 'against the jews' which was most likely a sermon or sermons he gave which were transcribed.
then you have another one of my favorite saints from the 4th century, our blessed father among the saints ephraim (or ephrem) the syrian. he is another great saint of Holy Church, and he wrote many poems and such exposing the folly of the jews.
i could go on endlessly detailing all the saints who spoke out against the folly of the jews. my patron saint, st. cyprian of carthage wrote three books against the jews around 250 a.d.
i have accumulated probably close to a hundred thousand pages written by the fathers of the Church spanning the last two thousand years and they all spoke with one accord when it came to the enemies of Christ--judaism, carnal israel and the jews. most of these are all on my computer or i am in the process of scanning the books and using OCR to convert them to text format.
none of them taught the vicious calumnies that pat robertson and his fellow cadre of 'zionist christian' televangelists teach.
if you want to understand the truth about Christianity, don't look to the protestant and roman catholic heretics who simply call themselves Christians, but pervert the gospel of Christ, but simply read the writings of Orthodox Christian saints.
