Hey, it only went ashore as a category 4 hurricane after slowing down from a category 5 at 175 mph winds. What's to worry about? I hope the cats can swim like mine used to. We would take them out on a lake and they weren't thrilled, so they would jump in the water about 50 ft or so from shore and swim back. Eventually they went swimming just for the fun of it and to cool off in hot & humid so. IL summers. REALLY WEIRD cats.
